Growing with Taspharm: A Career of Growth
Sharon’s journey began before the Taspharm group formed. She started initially taking on the role of a retail manager. Her skills and dedication were evident early on, and as the group expanded, Sharon’s role grew along with it.
“I see Taspharm as a great support and providing career pathways for employees. I’ve watched team members grow from pharmacy assistants to pharmacy students, pharmacy interns, pharmacists, pharmacist/pharmacy managers and even to partners. Similarly, I’ve watched casual pharmacy assistants become Retail Managers and move into admin roles.”
When Taspharm was established, Sharon became the operations manager, a role that allowed her to oversee the day-to-day workings of the pharmacies as they joined the group. Her ability to adapt and take on new challenges led her to transition into human resources and pharmacy management. Now, as the Pharmacy Manager at Kingston Town and the HR Manager for Taspharm, Sharon is committed to the growth of the company and the people within it.
A Unique Work Environment
Working at Taspharm offers a unique experience, thanks to the diversity of its pharmacies and banner groups. Each pharmacy has its own set of owners and operational styles, providing a variety of working environments. This diversity allows employees to find the roles that best suit their preferences and skills.

For Sharon, this variety has been an exciting aspect of her work. The ability to move between different pharmacies, experience different systems, and work with different people has kept her role dynamic and engaging. It also provides learning opportunities, as each pharmacy brings its own set of challenges and rewards.
Supporting the Community and Staff
In her dual role as Pharmacy Manager and HR Manager, Sharon plays an important part in supporting both the staff and the operations of the pharmacies. Her work makes sure that the pharmacies run smoothly and that the employees have the support they need to succeed in their roles. This, in turn, helps Taspharm maintain its high standards and continue to serve the community effectively.
“I think all the owners look after their staff very well. One of the quotes I hear is ‘if you look after the business, the business will look after you.”

Achievements and Recognition
Sharon’s contributions to Taspharm have not gone unnoticed. In 2022, she was awarded National Leader of the Year. The pharmacy she manages also recently won National Pharmacy of the Year, highlighting the success of her efforts in her current role.
These achievements reflect Sharon’s commitment to excellence and her ability to lead by example. Her focus on taking care of her staff and making sure that the business runs smoothly are central to Taspharm.
